Then, unplug it completely and wipe the carbon brush with a soft cloth (it can be slightly damp, moistened with detergent). When using the ionizer for the first time, there will be more dirt buildup as the device removes years of accumulated airborne particles. Once the initial cleaning is done, you’ll only need to wipe around the ionizer occasionally, about once a month.

Do not place the ionizer on electrical devices (refrigerator, TV, monitor, etc.) or metal surfaces, as this increases static electricity. Never rinse the ionizer under running water or with other liquids. Do not insert anything into the slot where the carbon brush is located to avoid damage.
